Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS Jalandhar) is a medical college and medical research institute based in Jalandhar, India.[1][2] The college was established in 1999 and is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.Presently the premier Institute is working exceptionally well under the administration of Dr. Kanwaljit. Overcoming all the challenges and obstacles that the college has faced,it has 4 M.B.B.S batches with a strength of 600 budding doctors . Facilities :- The hospital has many clinical departments including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, skin, psychiatry, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Nephrology, E. N. T, chest and T. B. The O. P. D charges are based on P. G. I norms. The hospital also has all the pathological and microbiological laboratory facilities with highly specialized laboratories. The college has many non clinical departments like Anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry etc. The Institute is providing rural services also in many villages under the department of community medicine through its rural health centers. The college is now offering 4 B. Sc. e paramedical courses.
