Kenya – Mozambique relations

Kenya

Mozambique

Kenya–Mozambique relations are bilateral relations between Kenya and Mozambique.

Cooperation

In October 2014, Transport ministers from both countries signed deals to allow private airlines with local ownership to fly between both countries. This was aimed at reducing airfare costs between both countries thus increasing trade.[1]

The Kenyan Transport secretary was keen on implementing the African open skies agreement. Before the deal only Kenya Airways and LAM Mozambique Airlines were allowed to ply the route.[1]

Diplomatic missions

Mozambique maintains a high commission in Nairobi. Kenya's mission in Zimbabwe is accredited to Mozambique.
