Alauli (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: अलौली विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Khagaria district in the Indian state of Bihar. The seat is reserved for scheduled castes.

Overview

As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 148 Alauli (Vidhan Sabha constituency) comprises the following: Alauli community development blocks; Baraiy, Rani Sakar-Pura, Belasimri, Olapur Gangour, Tetarabad, Jalkoura, Janhagira and Dhusmuri Bishanpur gram panchayats of Khagaria CD Block.[1]

Alauli (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 25 Khagaria (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]

Election results

1977-2010

In the 2010 state assembly elections,Ramchandra Sada of Janata Dal (United) won the Alauli seat against his nearest rival Pashupati Kumar Paras of LJP. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Pashupati Kumar Paras of LJP defeated Rambriksha Sada of RJD in October 2005, Mira Devi of RJD in February 2005 and Rambriksha Sada of Sada of RJD in 2000. Pashpati Kumar Paras of Janata Dal defeated Mishri Sada of Congress in 1995 and Arun Kumar Paswan of Congress in 1990. Pashupati Kumar of Lok Dal defeated Vageshwar Paswan of Congress in 1985. Mishri Sada of Congress (I) defeated Pashupati Kumar of Janata Party (SC) in 1980. Pashupati Kumar of Janata Party defeated Mishri Sada of Congress in 1977.[2][3]
