The 2014 Malaysia Deaf Games, officially known as the 18th Malaysia Deaf Games was a multi-sport event held in Malacca from 15 June 2014 to 19 June 2014 with 37 events in 6 sports and disciplines featured in the games.^[1]

This was the first time Malacca host the games. Malacca is the tenth state to host the games after Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Selangor, Kedah, Johor, Pahang, Kelantan, Perak and Terengganu.

The final medal tally was led by Sabah, followed by the Federal Territory and Negeri Sembilan with host Malacca in fifth place. Several games records were broken during the games. The Games were deemed generally successful with the rising standard of deaf sports competition amongst the Malaysian states.

This is the 18th edition of Malaysia Deaf Games since its introduction in 1985. It will be the first time the state held such a national sporting event. All states held their respective Malaysia Para Games except Sabah, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak.

The logo and mascot of the 2014 Malaysia Deaf Games is a chevrotain (pelanduk or kancil), the state animal of Malacca as it is the synonym of the state's history. In the logo, the chevrotain's leap represents the welcoming of all teams to Malacca, while the red and blue lines forming the image of the kancil to represent the confidence of the organizer and the rousing of the games. The A Famosa represents the historical Malacca.^[3] Colour red represents the persistence, hardiness and earnestness in whatever it takes to success in the modernization of sports, white represents the purity and inner discipline in deaf athletes taking part in the games and help making the games a success, blue represents the cooperation of all parties regardless of status to make sports a tool to unite the multi-racial Malaysia whilst yellow represents peace and wellness of the competition.

A total of 111 medals comprising 37 gold medals, 37 silver medals and 37 bronze medals were awarded to athletes. The host Malacca's performance was their best overall, and were placed fifth overall among participating states.
