1-pyrroline dehydrogenase (EC 1.5.1.35, gamma-aminobutyraldehyde dehydrogenase, ABALDH, YdcW) is an enzyme with systematic name 1-pyrroline:NAD+ oxidoreductase.[1][2][3] This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction

1-pyrroline + NAD+ + 2 H2O 4-aminobutanoate + NADH + 2 H+

This enzyme participates in the arginine-catabolism pathway.
