Wada Station (和田駅 Wada-eki) is a railway station on the Ōu Main Line in Akita, Akita, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

History

Wada Station opened on October 1, 1903 as a station on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR).[1] The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of JNR on April 1, 1987.[1] A new station building was completed in February 2003.

In fiscal 2015, the station was used by an average of 325 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[2]
