The Incredibles (known as Mr. Incredible in Japan) is a video game based on the film, The Incredibles, released in 2004 for the Mobile phones, OS X, Microsoft Windows, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Game Boy Advance. This is the only Disney and Pixar game that had a T for Teen Rating in North America (excluding the GBA version, which received an E for Everyone Rating).

Plot

The evil Bomb Voyage attempts a bank robbery in Metroville, but Mr. Incredible captures Bomb Voyage in the bank, His fanboy, Buddy Pine, shows up, and flies out of the window on his rocket boots to notify the police, but Mr. Incredible notices a bomb on Buddy's cape. Releasing Bomb Voyage, Mr. Incredible grabs hold of Buddy's cape and goes on a wild ride.

Mr. Incredible and the bomb both fall onto a rooftop, where Bomb Voyage appears in a helicopter. Bomb Voyage attempts to kill Mr. Incredible with bombs and laser beams, but Mr. Incredible throws the bombs back at the helicopter, making it fly into a building and explode.

The superheroes are sued for causing too much destruction and are forced by the government to disguise themselves as civilians and to live normal lives. Mr. Incredible marries Elastigirl and they have three children: Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack.

Mr. Incredible is approached by Mirage, who tells about a secret organization on an island called Nomanisan and their latest machine, the Omnidroid 08, is wreaking havoc. Mr. Incredible goes to Nomanisan, where he destroys the Omnidroid. The fight was witnessed by Mirage and her anonymous employer through a robotic bird. The employer comments that Mr. Incredible's victory is surprising.

Mr. Incredible returns to Nomanisan on another mission. When he reaches the conference room, he goes through numerous security guards and other systems but once he reaches the empty meeting room, another Omnidroid tears the wall apart and grabs Mr. Incredible. The Omnidroid's leader, Syndrome, appears, who was Mirage's employer and Buddy Pine. He reveals that he wants to kill Mr. Incredible and the world's other superheroes. Mr. Incredible escapes Syndrome by jumping off a waterfall.

Elastigirl goes to Nomanisan to save her husband and safely stores Violet and Dash in a cave as she sneaks into Syndrome's base. The next morning, Violet and Dash accidentally activate an alarm system and are forced to use their powers to escape from Syndrome's guards. They learn not to be ashamed of their powers and to work together.

Finally, all of the Incredibles meet up and activate one of Syndrome's rockets, using it to escape back to Metroville, where the Omnidroid is wreaking havoc. The Incredibles and Frozone work together to destroy the robot. Now, superheroes are loved by the public again.

Version differences

The console/PC versions and the GBA version share many differences, some that are interesting:

• It's possible to fall into bottomless pits in the console/PC versions, but there are none in the GBA version, which features severely limited platforming.
• The console/PC versions use a save game system, while the GBA version does not and uses a password system instead.
• Exclusive to the console/PC version, there is one Dash level early in the game where the player must help him get to school.
• Exclusive to the GBA version, players can take control of Frozone in some levels, which are auto-scrolling on-rail sequences. Players guide Frozone around the ice track he creates and uses his freeze powers to create ramps, defeat enemies or destroy missiles.
• All versions feature one level where the player controls Dash as he evades Syndrome's Velocipod guards through the island jungle. In the console/PC versions, it's possible to instantly fail the level by running out of time or hitting certain obstacles, and in the GBA version, players have unlimited time to finish the level, but must defeat the guards as they catch up to him by jumping on top of them and punching them.
• Elastigirl is called "Mrs. Incredible" most of the time in the GBA version.

The Incredibles received "mixed" reviews on all platforms according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.^{[40][37][39][38][36]} In Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of 29 out of 40 for the PlayStation 2 version, and 23 out of 40 for the Game Boy Advance version.^[3]
