Rayavaram, Kadapa

Raya-varam is a village in Kadapa (formerly Cuddapah) in the state of Andhra Pradesh,[India].Located at the conflux of Pincha and Bahuda rivers has a rich history of several temples such as Lord Sangameshvara, Anjaneya Mandir, Ellama temple. With generous donations of NRI from United States who are natives of this villages have started, Yerrapu.Y.Z.P. High School and Government Hospital were established in the 1970s by Dr.Yerrapu.Narasimha Reddy from Mittameedapalli village. Near Besthapalli hamelet of this village, Goddess Nagarapamma temple is located. Every year jathara, an annual festival is celebrated in May–June months in a grand manner. Thousands of people from different districts join the festival. Hanuman Jayanthi is also celebrated regularly.
