Mountain Top University is located in Makogi Oba, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was founded by Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries a Christian Organization.The proprietor of the university is the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), a Christian, missionary organisation. The University is overall vision received in August 1977 by Dr. D.K. Olukoya, the founder and General Overseer of MFM Ministries worldwide. The vision received by Olukoya culminated to the official commissioning of the mission in July 1989 in the home of the founder. The commissioning started with 24 people. From the members, the church today has millions of worshippers. MFM runs missionary activities in well over 40 nations of the world cutting across Africa, Europe, America and Asia. As a Christian missionary organisation, the MFM is a full gospel ministry devoted to the revival of apostolic signs. The Mountain Top University is envisioned as "a dynamic centre of academic excellence in the liberal tradition for the production of top-rate, morally sound graduates of distinction who will be globally competitive for outstanding impact on the Nigerian societal and global development".^[1][2]
