Midwest Athletic Conference

The Midwest Athletic Conference is an OHSAA athletic league located in west-central Ohio formed in 1972. The Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) is among the elite small school conferences in the nation. Dubbed as one of the toughest, if not the, toughest small school conference in America. Former Ohio State Running Back Vernon "Beenie" Wells had stated, "The MAC should have its own division." after seeing 3 of the schools win state football championships in one year. (Coldwater, Minster and Marion Local in 2014)

Although the MAC consists of smaller schools, it is geographically located in the same area of the state as the Western Buckeye League. Most schools out of both leagues typically host hotly contested matchups in nearly every sport, with the MAC schools usually winning.
