KJOT is a commercial radio station located in Boise, Idaho, broadcasting on 105.1 FM. The station for twenty-five years was a heritage rock station known as J105: Everything That Rocks. At midnight MST on May 14, 2010 KJOT became a rock station branded as "Variety Rock 105.1".[1] On November 12, 2012 KJOT began stunting with Christmas music, with a new format after the holidays. After the holidays, KJOT tweaked back to a classic rock station. It still uses the "Variety Rock" branding.[2]

Journal Communications (KJOT's owner) and The E.W. Scripps Company announced on July 30, 2014 that the two companies would merge to create a new broadcast company under the E.W. Scripps Company name that will own the two companies' broadcast properties, including KJOT. The transaction is slated to be completed in 2015, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.[3]
