Jon García Herrero (born 4 June 1991) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Sestao River as a defender.

Club career

Born in Bilbao, Biscay, Basque Country, García graduated with Athletic Bilbao's youth setup, and made his senior debuts with the farm team in the 2009–10 campaign, in Tercera División. In June 2011 he was promoted to the reserves in Segunda División B.[1]

On 26 May 2014 García was released by the Lions,[2] and moved to Segunda División's CD Lugo on 7 July.[3]

On 11 September 2014 García made his professional debut, starting in a 1–0 home win against AD Alcorcón, for the season's Copa del Rey.[4] He made his Segunda División debut on 18 October, starting in a 0–1 away loss against Deportivo Alavés.

In February 2015 García suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury,[5] being successfully operated in the following month.[6]
