Jovan Erdeljanović (Serbian: Јован Ердељановић, 11 November 1874 – 12 February 1944) was an Austro-Hungarian, Serbian and Yugoslav ethnologist, considered the founder of ethnology of the Serbs. Erdeljanović studied at the Belgrade Higher School, then at Vienna, Berlin, Leipzig and Prague. In 1906 Erdeljanović earned his doctorate in ethnology under Lubor Niederle at Charles University in Prague.
