Estadio Tamaulipas

The Estadio Tamaulipas is a football (soccer) stadium named after the state where the stadium is located.

This facility has a capacity of 19,415 seats and was built in 1966. It is located at the east coast of Mexico in the limit of the cities of Tampico and Ciudad Madero Tamaulipas; The midfield of the stadium is divided by the political limit of the two municipalities, the north half of the stadium belongs to Tampico and the south to Ciudad Madero. This sport facility is used mostly for soccer games and is the home of the teams CF Tampico and Jaiba Brava del Tampico Madero. it also hosted two international matches which were Mexico national football team vs Soviet Union national football team February 2, 1979 and Mexico national football team also played against Soviet Union national football team again on March 11, 1992
