El Afweyn, also known as Ceel Afweyn, is a town in the northern Sanaag region of Somalia
. It is the second largest city in the province.
Demographics
The broader El Afweyn District has a total population of 65,797 residents.[1] The city is primarily inhabited by habar je'llo subclan of baho faarah and other few clan's the city depend's on livestock sector and commercial activities[2]
