Dighinala (Bengali: দীঘিনালা) is an Upazila of Khagrachari District[1] in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Geography

Dighinala is located at 23°15′30″N 92°03′30″E / 23.2583°N 92.0583°E / 23.2583; 92.0583 . It has 11,227 households and a total area of 694.12 km².

Demographics

According to the 1991 Bangladesh census, Dighinala has a population of 50,933, of whom 26,408 were aged 18 or over. Males constituted 51.5% of the population, and females 48.5%. Dighinala had a literacy rate of 26.4% (7+ years), compared to the national average of 32.4%.[2]
