Dhamauli is a village development committee in Rupandehi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4060 people living in 628 individual households. Late Mr.Abdul Kalam was a chairman of Dhamauli VDC; he was a very kind,farsighted,Honest and Popular Leader.He was a President of Nepali Congress as well as active Leader. He was the only one who worked hard to develop the area.During his Chairmanship he developed his Dhamauli VDC.Late Mr. Abdul Kalam was not only a Politician, he was elder son of Landlord Late Haji Abdul Rauf.Late Abdul Kalam was a residence of Ahirauli Village which is ward no.7 of Dhamauli VDC.Late Abdul Kalam was belong to the reputed & prestigious family.He was the elder brother of six brothers.His younger brother is Mr. Abdul Hafiz Khan who is well educated & popular among the Citizens of Dhamali VDC.Mr. Hafiz is an active member of Nepali Congress who has good relation with Leaders. The right person can not forget the name of Late Abdul Kalam. He was like a tiger. God bless him. [1]
