Route 60 continues heading east, still running right along the creek and canal. At 5.82 miles, CR 60 turns east, as Irish Road continues north, to cross the Erie Canal (at this point now separated from Tonawanda Creek) to head into the hamlet of Pendleton. There, CR 130 (East Canal Road) is intersected at just over six miles. Further east, Route 60 veers northeast away from Tonawanda Creek, and now runs on the north side and parallel to Mud Creek, a tributary of Tonawanda Creek.
