Berelvi

Berelvi (Urdu: بَریلوِی‎, Berēlvī, Urdu okunuş: [bəreːlʋi]), Sünni İslam içinde Hanefi mezhebine bağlı Hindistan'ın Bereilli kentinden çıkan 200 milyon mensubu olan bir hareket.[1] Hareket ismini lider Ahmed Raza Khan'nın (1856-1921) şehrinden alır.[2][3][4][5][6] Medya ve akedemisyenler tarafından Berelvi ismiyle anılan harekete bağlı olanlar, kendilerine Ehl-i Sünnet vel Cemaat olarak hitab etmeyi tercih ediyor.[7]

Tasavvuf ve Güney Asya'nın geleneksel İslam tesirli Berelvi hareketi, Vahhabi hareketi tesirli reformcu Diobendi hareketine karşı kurulmuştur.[8][9]
