Vick, Arkansas

Vick is an unincorporated community in Bradley County, Arkansas, United States, near Hermitage. It is situated at 148 feet (45 meters) above mean sea level. Vick was a fairly large town in the 1930's. It had the railroad going thru the town and the area was utilized to load large amounts of timber onto the trains. The cutting of timber was the main source of income in the area. There was a hotel in Vick which was used by the lumbermen working on the timber harvest. Eventually the demand and supply of timber tapered off and the town slowly disappeared. The hotel burned down in the 1930's. There are no buildings remaining today, but there still is sign labeled Vick and the railroad still goes thru the area.
