Pat Morita

Noriyuki "Pat" Morita (28 Haziran 1932; Isleton, Kaliforniya - 24 Kasım 2005; Las Vegas, Nevada, ABD), Japon asıllı Amerikalı sinema oyuncusu. Karate Kid film serilerinde Bay Miyagi rolü ile tanınır.

Pat Morita iki yaşındayken spinal tüberkülozu gelişmiş ve San Francisco'daki Shriners hastanesi dahil olmak üzere Kuzey Kaliforniya'daki çeşitli hastanelerde dokuz yıl boyunca tedavi gördü. Bir cerrah omurgasına dört vertebra enjekte etmiştir. Pat Morita nihayet 11 yaşında tekrar yürümeyi öğrenmiştir. Hastaneden yürüyerek çıkmıştır. Bir FBI ajanının refakatinde Japon asıllı ABD vatandaşı ailesi ile beraber II. Dünya Savaşı süresince tutuklu kalmak üzere bir enterne kampına gönderilmiştir. Pat Morita 3 kez evlenmiştir. 73 yaşında doğal nedenlerle Las Vegas'ta evinde 24 Kasım 2005 tarihinde vefat etti.
