Players are awarded zeal points for following tasks:
- Killing players - the amount of Zeal given is dependent on how strong the opponent is, and killing the same player multiple times will have lower Zeal returns over time.
- Burying bones - players can bury bones until their Avatar has 100% damage reduction.
- Sacrificing soul fragments - players can sacrifice soul fragments until the opposing team's Avatar has 0% damage reduction.
- Dealing damage to the opposing team's Avatar
- Capturing graveyards or the Soul Obelisk
Rewards[edit | edit source]
A game of Soul Wars ends when 15 minutes have passed, if a team has reached 5 Avatar kills, or if any team's player count drops below half of the starting amount.
Once the game ends, the player's Zeal count during the game will be increased by 20% if their team won, and decreased by 20% if their team lost. The final count is given as Zeal Tokens that can be spent on rewards. The maximum amount of Zeal in a game is 40 for a loss, 50 for a tie, and 60 for a win.
Experience[edit | edit source]
Experience in Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic and Prayer are available. Players must have at least level 30 in the chosen skill to purchase XP for it, and the amount granted is higher if the level of the skill chosen is higher. 1, 10, 100 tokens can be used per purchase.
Imbues[edit | edit source]
Imbues from the Nightmare Zone are also available here. However, players who imbued their items at the Nightmare Zone cannot un-imbue their items for Zeal Tokens.
Imbuing an item provides extra bonuses and appends an (i) suffix to the item's name. Imbued items can be uncharged, which removes the bonuses from the item and refunds (?)% of the reward points used to imbue it.
Imbuing all available items would require a total of (3,950) reward points.
