A Sliced banana is the result of using a knife or any bladed weapon on a banana. The message box states "You deftly chop the bananas^[sic] into slices" when slicing a banana.

When eaten, the sliced banana heals two hitpoints; the same amount as a whole banana. Sliced bananas are only used for the quest Tai Bwo Wannai Trio, wherein players are required to slice a banana before attempting to add it to a bottle of Karamja rum.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

• An abyssal whip can be also be used in lieu of a knife when slicing bananas despite having no apparent blade. However, this only works when using a whip on the banana, and not when using a banana on a whip.
• Although bladed weapons can be used to slice bananas, they cannot be used to slice other fruits or food items. This is likely an oversight by the developers.
• Although the examine text implies that some of the banana was lost when slicing it, the weight and amount of healing remains unchanged.
• Originally, there would be a small pause between eating the sliced banana and recovering hitpoints. This was corrected in a later update.
