The Quest point cape can be obtained by players who have completed all quests (excluding miniquests). The cape, along with the quest point hood, can be purchased from the Wise Old Man in Draynor Village for 99,000 coins. Note that while the Wise Old Man can be talked to about the Quest Point Cape in a Free-to-Play world, you can purchase the cape only in Members worlds.

The cape can teleport players to the Legends' Guild gates an unlimited number of times. This is especially convenient as it is the second closest available teleport to a fairy ring (after POH). Also, players with the maximum number of quest points will find that the prices of dreams in the Nightmare Zone are reduced by 10,000 coins. Performing the quest cape emote in the Wise Old Man's house is also an elite task in the Lumbridge & Draynor Diary.

To trim the cape, a player must complete all Achievement Diaries thus earning them the achievement diary cape as well.

Should a new quest be released, the cape will be unequipped and the player wearing it cannot equip or operate it until the new quest is completed. If the player's inventory is full, the cape will be banked instead. In the event that their inventory and bank are both full, the cape will have to be re-purchased from the Wise Old Man.

This item can be stored in the cape rack of a costume room, as part of the Quest point cape set, along with the hood. Ultimate Ironmen may be unable to retrieve individual pieces until the full set is stored.

As of 26 February 2020, there are 61,766 current members that have obtained the quest point cape.

Minimum skill levels[edit | edit source]

The minimum levels required to acquire the quest point cape are:

Total level: 1455
Attack 50 Hitpoints 50 Mining 72
Strength 50 Agility 70 Smithing 70
Defence 65 Herblore 70 Fishing 62
Ranged 60 Thieving 60 Cooking 70
Prayer 50 Crafting 70 Firemaking 66
Magic 75 Fletching 60 Woodcutting 71
Runecraft 55 Slayer 69 Farming 70
Construction 70 Hunter 70
Combat level 85 Quest point icon.png 279 Music.png ----

Bold text indicates that a temporary boost may be used to reach that level. While players need these levels to acquire the cape, they do not need them in order to wear it.

Note: The noted combat stats only get a player to a combat level of 71, while Dream Mentor requires a combat level of 85. The absolute minimum total level (with maximum boosts and 85 combat) required to complete all quests is 1466.

Note: Although Mining and Woodcutting can be boosted to the highest quest-required level, level 70 unboosted is required in both skills for Song of the Elves. Likewise, although Fishing can be boosted to the highest quest-required level, level 60 unboosted is required for The Fremennik Exiles

Ironmen may need higher levels in some skills due to item requirements: for example, magic logs are required for Desert Treasure and Mourning's End Part I, and although they can be obtained in numerous ways, each has a high skill requirement or is nonviable for most lower-levelled players. Another example is if players burn the raw karambwan in Tai Bwo Wannai Trio, they will need 65 Fishing to be able to fish another.

Quest point cape (t)[edit | edit source]

The Quest point cape (t) requires completion of all Achievement Diaries, which significantly increases the minimum requirements from those of the regular untrimmed version. It is also worth noting that the quest point cape is a requirement to complete the Lumbridge & Draynor Elite diary which makes the Quest point cape (t) unobtainable without first obtaining the untrimmed version, making it the only cape of accomplishment in the game where this is the case.
