There is a total of 21 free-to-play quests in Old School RuneScape, offering a total of 43 quest points. This is a list of all free-to-play quests. The difficulty of a quest varies depending on each player's strengths and weaknesses. Some recommendations presented in quest guides present a single point of view and may be just one of many possible strategies. Balance these walkthroughs with your knowledge of RuneScape and your own abilities.

• 2,181 Coins (100 for Prince Ali Rescue, 1 for Demon Slayer, 60 for Pirate's Treasure, 2000 for Dragon Slayer I, 20 if you join the Phoenix Gang during Shield of Arrav)
• 2 Phoenix crossbows (if you join Black Arm Gang during Shield of Arrav, obtained during Shield of Arrav)
• Spade (obtainable during The Corsair Curse, Ernest the Chicken) (Used in; Ernest the Chicken, Pirate's Treasure, The Corsair Curse, X Marks the Spot)
• 1 Fish food (obtainable during Ernest the Chicken)
• 1 Poison (item) (obtained during Ernest the Chicken)
• 1 Cadava berries (obtainable during Romeo & Juliet)
• Shears (if you need to craft your own Ball of wool)
• 23 Balls of wool (20 for Sheep Shearer, 3 for Prince Ali Rescue)
• Hammer (Used in; Vampyre Slayer, Dragon Slayer I
• 4 Beers ( 3 for Prince Ali Rescue, 1 for Vampyre Slayer)
• 1 Garlic (obtainable during Vampyre Slayer
• 1 Stake (Acquired during Vampyre Slayer)

• 3 Goblin mails (obtained during Goblin Diplomacy; In a crate in a building west of General Bentnoze and General Wartface, north of General Bentnoze and General Wartface in another crate, and lastly in a crate on the balcony up the ladder near the entrance.)
• 1 Blue dye (or 2 woad leaves and 5 coins to Aggie, or 20 coins to buy woad leaves from Wyson the gardener)
• 1 Orange dye (Red dye and Yellow dye mixed)
• 1 Karamjan rum (obtainable during Pirate's Treasure)
• 1 White apron (obtainable during Pirate's Treasure)
• 10 Bananas (obtainable during Pirate's Treasure)
• 1 Unfired bowl (can be made with soft clay on a Potter's Wheel with 8 Crafting)
• 1 Wizard's mind bomb (can be bought in the Rising Sun Inn in Falador or The Toad and Chicken in Burthorpe)
• 1 Lobster pot (can be bought from any fishing shop)
• 1 Silk (can be stolen from the Ardougne silk stall (requires 20 Thieving Thieving, or bought from Thessalia for 30 coins, or from the Al Kharid silk stall for 3 coins)
• 90 Steel nails (members can buy these from the Sawmill operator north-east of Varrock, they can also be made, 34 Smithing using 6 steel bars)
• 3 Planks (regular planks only - can be found at Barbarian Outpost due north of the Agility course, in Port Khazard, at the camp on Fossil Island, or at the Graveyard of Shadows)
• 1 Bucket (obtainable during Misthalin Mystery)
• 1 Tinderbox (obtainable during Misthalin Mystery, The Corsair Curse)
• 1 Knife (obtainable during Misthalin Mystery)
• A magic/ranged weapon, a law and air rune (to cast Telekinetic Grab if your Magic level is 33 or higher) or 10,000 coins
• Any Pickaxe
