The fighter torso (called the Penance torso in the Barbarian Assault Reward Shop) is armour that requiring 40 Defence to equip and is a reward from the Barbarian Assault minigame. It is purchased from Commander Connad for 375 honour points in all four roles and one Penance Queen kill and it can be sold back to him for 300 honour points in all four roles by using it on him.

It will remain in the player's inventory if they die below level 20 Wilderness, but will be unusable until repaired by using 50,000 coins on Perdu or on an armour stand in a PvP world.

Note: It is possible to obtain at any level, but low level player may struggle specifically with the attacker role.

Advantages[edit | edit source]

The fighter torso is used for melee training due to its best-in-slot strength bonus matched with both the Bandos chestplate and inquisitor's hauberk, but comparatively only costs the time of completing Barbarian Assault. It also offers overall worse defensive bonuses compared to the Bandos chestplate, rune platebody or Rock-shell plate, while only requiring 40 Defence with no quest requirements.

It has the highest negative magic accuracy possible in the body slot, making it an effective armour for splashing.

Treasure Trails[edit | edit source]

The fighter torso is the item Falo requires players to show him when he sings about: Penance healers runners and more, obtaining this body often gives much deplore.
