Soldier of Fortune 2 to sequel znanej gry akcji, w której ponownie wcielamy się w rolę Johna Mullinsa i walczymy z grupą terrorystyczną, będącą tym razem w posiadaniu groźnego wirusa.
Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix to sequel znanej gry akcji FPP Soldier of Fortune, gdzie mieliśmy okazję wcielić się w postać Johna Mullinsa i walczyć z grupą terrorystyczną dążącą do zdetonowania głowic nuklearnych. Gra zasłynęła m.in. bardzo szybką akcją i wieloma scenami przemocy.
W sequelu ponownie mamy możliwość stania się słynnym „konsultantem” wynajętym przez rząd Stanów Zjednoczonych, lecz zagrożenie jakie musimy zażegnać jest o wiele bardziej śmiercionośne niż głowice nuklearne. Jest nim groźny wirus, który znajdując się w posiadaniu fanatycznej grupy terrorystycznej stanowi niewyobrażalne zagrożenie dla ludzkości.

Players once again assume the role of John Mullins, a military consultant working for the top-secret anti-terrorist group known as The Shop. In the game, players must tackle a wide-range of missions, from hostage rescue and intelligence gathering, to search-and-destroy missions.
Soldier of Fortune II brings to gaming a vivid damage modeling and animation system for body destruction. The game also includes an accurate reproductions of actual weapons and missions taken from international hotspots including Prague, Colombia, Hong Kong and Kamchatka. Level design in Soldier of Fortune II is flexible enough to allow for multiple styles of play. "Hit `em hard" with a frontal assault or use stealth weapons for a subtle approach.
