Opis:
Przez 2 miesiące St. Petersburg jest wstrząśnięty obecnością seryjnego mordercy. Każdej środy, kolejna ofiara: mała dziewczynka w wieku od 9 do 12 lat. Brutalność owych mordów, sprawia, że miasto popada w chaos i terror. Rodzice w obawie o swoje pociechy, zabraniają im opuszczania domów. Prasa krytykuje władze za nieudolność w złapaniu mordercy. Kapitan policji Peter Moiseyev jest już zmęczony presją i niekończącymi się poszukiwaniami zabójcy. Seria zabójstw prowadzi kapitana do małego prowincjonalnego miasteczka Svetlogorsk. By odnaleźć zabójcę musi rozszyfrować zagadkę. W międzyczasie dochodzenie się kończy, morderca jest nadal aktywny i w następną środę jeszcze jedna dziewczynka zostanie zamordowana. Moiseyev jest bardzo zmotywowany, by złapać mordercę, ale najpierw musi przezwyciężyć swoje własne lęki.

Plot Summary:
For two months, St. Petersburg has been shaken by the existence of a serial killer. Every Wednesday there is another victim: a small girl between 9 and 12 years old. The brutality of the murders plunges the city into terror. Parents are afraid to let their children outdoors. The press criticizes the authorities for not being able to catch the criminal. Police captain Peter Moiseyev is worn out by the pressure and endless search. A series of murders bring Moiseyev to a small provincial town, Svetlogorsk. To get at the truth and catch the killer, he must decipher a riddle. Meanwhile the investigation continues: the murderer has let it be known that he is still active and that next Wednesday one more girl will be murdered. Moiseyev is determined to catch the killer, but first, he needs to conquer his own fears.
