Najnowszy album legendy metalu, następca "God Hates Us All" z września 2001 roku. Za produkcję odpowiada Rick Rubin. Okładkę płyty (prezentujemy ją powyżej) wykonał Larry Carroll, ten sam, który stworzył koperty albumów "Reign In Blood", "South Of Heaven" i "Seasons In The Abyss". Przeciwko obrazowi ostro zaprotestowały liczne organizacje katolickie, uznając kopertę albumu za świętokradztwo.
Slayer nakręcił teledysk do utworu "Eyes Of The Insane". Reżyserem wideo jest Tony Petrossian mający na koncie współpracę z takimi wykonawcami jak Slipknot czy Stone Sour. Tematem przewodnim klipu ma być wojna.

Eyes of the Insane is a song by American thrash metal band Slayer and the second single from their 2006 album Christ Illusion. The lyrics of the song are based on American soldiers fighting in the Iraq War and going insane by the horrendous images they see in battle. The music video also shows this. It goes through the eyes of many soldiers seeing the horrors of war and what is endured, ultimately becoming insane by the mental pictures they see in war, finally leading to the soldiers suicide, at the end of the video you can hear the rope creaking as he hangs himself. It was featured on the soundtrack to Saw III.
