Serial opowiadający tragiczną historię 48 pasażerów pechowego lotu 815 z Sydney do Los Angeles, których samolot rozbija się na tajemniczej wyspie. W tym całym zamieszaniu jednynie jednej osobie udaje się zachować zimną krew. Jest to chirurg Jack, który pomaga komu tylko się da. Z czasem panika przeradza się w lęk i strach. Wszyscy muszą nauczyć się żyć w nowych warunkach. Nie zrobią jednak tego bez uporania się z własnymi życiowymi problemami.
W każdym odcinku poznajemy historię i problemy "zagubionych" oraz tejemnice wyspy, która wyraźnie chce ich zatrzymać na zawsze. Lekarz, kaleka, narkoman, policjant, morderca, pechowiec, cwaniaczek, dziewczyna w ciąży i wielu innych współczesnych robinsonów będzie musiało nauczyć się współpracy. Inaczej stracą całkowicie szansę na przeżycie.

A horrific plane crash leaves 48 passengers alive, and stranded on a remote island in the South Pacific.
