Muse - brytyjska alternatywna grupa rockowa, utworzona w 1997 r. w miejscowości Teignmouth, w hrabstwie Devonshire. Do zespołu należą: Matt Bellamy (śpiew, gitara, pianino), Chris Wolstenholme (gitara basowa) oraz Dom Howard (perkusja). Jeden z najlepszych zespołów koncertowych, uhonorowanych wieloma nagrodami w tej kategorii (Brit Awards, "Q"). Zespół zadziwia krytykę niesamowitym brzmieniem, różnorodnością piosenek i doborem instrumentów. Głos wokalisty jest typowy, często wychodzi na wysokie dźwięki, podobnie jak podczas grania instrumentów (częsta zmiana tonacji i gam). Description:
Muse are an alternative rock band formed in Teignmouth, Devon, UK in 1994. The band has three members: Matthew Bellamy (singer, guitarist and keyboardist), Chris Wolstenholme (bassist) and Dominic Howard (drummer and percussionist). Bellamy is the principal songwriter in the band, although some of the band's more recent material has also been credited to Wolstenholme and Howard.
While some describe them as a post-Britpop band, Muse deny such associations. They cite the influence of the American grunge music (exemplified by Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden), combining such influences with the alternative and experimental approach of British progressive rock groups such as Radiohead.
