Intel 80188

Intel 80188为Intel 80186的一个衍生版本，跟80186不同的是，它只有一半的外部数据总线（External Data Bus），由16比特减至8比特，以助减低成本。

80188有四个16比特通用寄存器，亦可作为八个8比特寄存器。另外，它有十六个16比特的寄存器，包括：堆栈指针（Stack Pointer）、索引寄存器（Index registers）以及状态寄存器（Status word register）。

跟8086一样，它同有四个16比特地址寄存器以容许替64千字节以上的内存给予地址。当超越16比特极限（即64KB）时，一个新的数值就会加入。这个地址系统可容许1百万字节（1 MBytes）的地址内存，但在当时这个数字是比一台电脑所需的内存高出很多。
