Opis:
Dante's Peak to nazwa wulkanu, a zarazem usadowionego w jego sąsiedztwie cichego, spokojnego amerykańskiego miasteczka. Zainteresowanie uśpionym pozornie wulkanem wykazuje jedynie pewien naukowiec (w jego roli Pierce Brosnan), który usiłuje ostrzec mieszkańców Dante's Peak przed zbliżającą się erupcją. Niestety, jego przestrogi są lekceważone. Oczywiście dochodzi do wybuchu. Obiektem zainteresowania wulkanologa, a później i jego działań ratunkowych, staje się także samotna matka (grana przez Roger Donaldson).

Description:
Dante's Peak is maybe the best movie of a volcano ever. It is far better than volcano and also better than Mt. St. Helens although I like the 1981 movie with Art Carney. The eruption and the flowing lava are realistic and the special effects are great. You even think that you are in this movie if you watch it on a big screen. The greatest star is no actor but the mountain itself. You even feel it has to erupt sooner or later and that reminds me of Mt. St. Helens, also the story with the old lady that doesn't want to move from her house- in reality it was Harry Truman. Indeed, there aren't a lot of movies about volcanos and that's a pity. But it is even better if they only do a few good ones. Linda Hamilton and Pierce Brosnan together with the kids and the rest give a good performance (I was happy to see Linda in a blockbuster again). So I recommend this movie to everyone that likes volcanos. It is enter- taining and it's ok.
