Opis, recenzja
Ranma Saotome i jego ojciec, Genma, wracają z podróży do China. I udają się do rodziny Tendo. Wszystko po to by spełnić obietnice jaką dawno temu dali sąbie Genma i Mr. Tendo (że ich dzieci wezmą ze sobą ślub po to by mogły przejąć rodzinne dojo). I jak to bywa w takich sytuacjach oboje (syn Genmy i córka Tendo) nie maja najmniejszego zamiaru spełniać woli ojców. A na dodatek wychodzi na jaw ich tajemnica (podczas podróży po Chinach Saotome, syn i ojciec, wpadli do przeklętych jezior) i teraz gdy tylko zostana oblani zimną wodą zamieniają się: Ranma - w dziewczyne, Genma - w pande.
Od tej chwili zaczynają się ich zabawne perypetie, w obronie honoru (oboje Ranma i Akane znają sztuki walki), tajemnicy (Ranmy). A gdy dochodzą nowi przyjaciele i wrogowie pary, kłopotów przybywa (zwłaszcza gdy chodzi o dziwczyny które szaleją za Ranmą - oczywiście Akane która "nie lubi" go będzie zawsze interweniować, z niezbyt miłymi konsekwencjami dla niego).
Podczas oglądania tego anime można się nieźle uśmiać. Może i jest to stare anime ale jednak nadal bawi.

Review
This is definately my favorite anime of all time and I've been an anime fan for 12+ years. I got into the series around 1994 and got hooked from the very first episode. Most of the characters that appear in the show are memorable and the series has a cast of great voice actors. Being a blend of many different genres, Ranma 1/2 can appeal to all sorts of anime fans.
A lot of people will complain that the show gets too dragged on with no advancement of plot or development of the characters later into the series. I feel that this is ok considering the manga covered both of these aspects. What I liked about the series is that it had some elements from the manga but also differed from it. I read the manga while watching the anime and it came as a great relief to me that a lot of the episodes in the series are unique in their own.
An anime series that follows the manga too closely or vice versa, tends to be kinda dull to me. What the show amounted to was a lot of stand-alone episodes that you would watch for comedy purposes, episodes that did not appear as scenes in the manga. The show does get a little dragged on near the end and I do wish the series would cover some of the things that happened later in the manga, like Pheonix Mountain, but I still greatly enjoyed the series. Even today I will pick up some parts of this great anime to rewatch.
