"Yesterday Man" is a song written by Chris Andrews and was his first single as a solo singer, released in September 1965. It climbed to No. 3 in the UK Singles Chart,[1] and No. 1 in Ireland, Germany and Austria.[2]

In 1974, it was covered by Robert Wyatt (produced by Nick Mason) as the follow-up to his hit with Neil Diamond's "I'm a Believer" (Virgin Records).[3] The song was also re-worked and released as "True Leicester Fan" by City People.
