White Wives is an American punk rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[1] The band, composed of members from other Pittsburgh bands including Anti-Flag,[2] The Code, Dandelion Snow and American Armada,[3] was created in the summer of 2010. The band's name is derived from a Dutch counterculture movement in the mid-60s known as Provo, and the movement's political agenda to improve social issues in Amsterdam. The band released their first EP, Situationists EP, through Lock and Key Collective in February 2011, and followed up in June with their debut full-length, Happeners, released on Adeline Records.

History

Roger Harvey was selling T-shirts for a band that Anti-Flag was touring with. On that tour, Chris "#2" Barker met Harvey. A few years later, Chris #2 heard Harvey was a solo act in Brooklyn. #2 called him up to bring him out to Pittsburgh to produce Roger's album. After hearing what Roger had written Chris wanted to start a band with Harvey, thus White Wives were formed.
