Early life

On 20 June 2013, Giankovits joined the Greek club Panathinaikos. He was announced as a new player of Panathinaikos, for the following three years, along with his Panionios teammate Nikos Pappas.[3] During his second season at the club, he switched his jersey number from 16 to 8.

Giankovits played in the 2016 NBA Summer League, with the Summer League squad of the New Orleans Pelicans.[4]

On August 3, 2016, Giankovits signed with the Spanish Liga ACB club Valencia.[5] On October 31, 2016, he was loaned to the Greek club Aris Thessaloniki, for the rest of the season.[6]
