Type 82 truck
The HANYANG Type 82 truck is a truck used by the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China. It consists of the HY-473 (tractor truck) and HY962 (semi-trailer/Heavy Equipment Transporter up to 75 tons).
The HANYANG HY-473 was developed in the 1960s as a 6x6 tractor for the HY-962 trailer by the Hanyang Special Auto Works (Hanyang Special Vehicle Works) based on the original HINO ZM 6X6 Military Truck of the 1970s-1980s made by HINO Motors Limited of Tokyo in Japan. The model was developed together with the giant HINO MOTORS of Japan who provided license production rights of some of its original designs for HANYANG of China, which explains why the HANYANG HY743 6X6 model is very much inspired by the lorries and models of that Japanese company.
