Twin Lakes Trailhead
The Twin Lakes Trailhead or Wrights Lake Trailhead is located at the north end of Wrights Lake road off Highway 50 a few miles east of Kyburz, California just to the west of Lake Tahoe. Wrights Lake road is not plowed in winter.
Some of the destinations most accessed by the trailhead are Twin Lakes(2 mi) and Island Lake(2.5 mi) as well as the rest of the Desolation Wilderness. Mount Price or Mount Aggasiz can also be climbed.
