Traill International School, Bangkok is a school in Bang Kapi District, Bangkok, Thailand.[1]
Established in 1966, it has an enrollment of approximately 400 students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 13. The Standardised British National Curriculum (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) is followed by all year groups in the school.
History
Traill International School was first founded by Anthony Traill in 1966 as a Preparatory School at Soi 11, Paholyothin Road. They named it the Preparatory school. Most of its students were prepared for entry in schools and universities in the US and Britain. The school quickly expanded to 300 students, catering mainly to American expatriates who preferred the academic style of British education. The Preparatory School grew to 3 campuses, Sukhumtivity Soi 3, Paholyothin Soi 11 and Ramkhaemhaeng Soi 16 (where the School is currently based).
After almost one-half century of constant development, Traill International School has evolved into a modern British International School which closely follows the curriculum set by the British and Thai Ministry of Education.
Houses
The House System was introduced in 2009. It aims to create sense of unity and mutual relationships among students. There are three houses at Traill International School;
All students in Traill International School are enrolled in the Houses. The Houses participate in various activities organised within the school including community service and charity projects.
