The International School of Sanya (TIS; Chinese: 三亚国际学校 or 三亚国际外籍人员子女学校) is an international school in the Serenity Coast (半山半岛) area of Sanya, Hainan.[1] It serves levels nursery through grade 12. There are three streams: a Nursery-Grade 12 international stream, an English medium program with Canadian curriculum; the grades 1-9 International-Chinese stream with a mix of Canadian and Chinese curriculum; and the Nursery-Grade 12 Chinese stream, a Chinese-medium program using a Chinese curriculum. Its campus has 33,000 square metres (360,000 sq ft) of space.[2]

Originally the Canadian International School of Sanya (CIS; 三亚加拿大国际学校),[3] it was Sanya's first ever international school, opening in September 2014. It previously occupied four buildings in a 33,000-square-metre (360,000 sq ft) campus in the Chunguang (春光, "Spring Light") neighborhood.[4] It opened during an effort by the Hainan government to attract more foreign tourists and residents.[5]
