The Express and Telegraph

The Express and Telegraph was a newspaper published in Adelaide, South Australia, from 1867 to 1922.[1]

History

The South Australian Advertiser was published in 1858. In 1863 the company started an afternoon newspaper, The Express, as a competitor to The Telegraph, which was published by The Register.[2] In December 1866, the owners of the Advertiser and Express bought the Telegraph, and incorporated it with The Express as The Express and Telegraph.[2]
