The Art Institute of Salt Lake City is one of The Art Institutes, a system of more than 40 educational institutions located throughout North America, providing education in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts.

Established in 2007, The Art Institute of Salt Lake City is a branch of The Art Institute of Las Vegas[2] and is owned by Education Management Corporation, which has headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[3] The school's official opening was in January 2008.[4]

The Art Institute of Salt Lake City is located in Draper, Utah, near the Wasatch Mountains at the south end of the Salt Lake Valley.
