Sakis Papazoglou (Greek: Σάκης Παπάζογλου; born 30 March 1988) is a Greek footballer who plays for K.V. Kortrijk in the Belgian Pro League.

Club career

Aris FC

Papazoglou had signed his first contract with Aris much earlier than he actually debuted in the Greek Superleague (debuted in 2007– the season 2007/2008).

His goals and quick second team developments soon sent him into the orbit of Aris first team and UEFA Cup football after catching an eye of coach Dušan Bajević who eventually promoted and gave him chances coming from the bench of first team for the season 2007/08. Papazoglou scored 2 goals in the Uefa Cup 3:0 win against Crvena Zvezda, as these are the most notable moments of his career, up to date. After the most amazing 20 minutes of his career against Crvena Zvezda, his long injury kept him from maintaining his form. He was out of favor last year by Aris' coach Mazinho and he signed to PAOK to get his chances there.

PAOK FC

On 1 June 2009, Papazoglou signed a 4-year contract with PAOK FC. He was loaned to Asteras Tripoli for the 2010/11 season.

OFI FC

On 8 August 2012, Papazoglou signed a 1+1 year contract with OFI FC. Rumours said that the Greek striker is prepared to consider a move to England as Charlton Athletic have shown an interest. The 25-year-old former Greece Under 21 international is being tracked by several clubs in England after his eight goals this season helped OFI FC escape relegation. Papazoglou's performances saw him named in the Greek Super League's Team of the 2012/13 season and he is now believed to be keen on moving to England. His agent Paschalis Tountouris told Sky Sports: "There are English clubs who are interested but we can't say which ones at this moment. He's had a great season and now would be the right time to consider a move to a stronger league. We will have to see what offers are on the table over the next few weeks." [1]

At the end of the 2013/14 season, Papazoglou clearly stated that he was no longer be a member of OFI FC. He played 59 games with the club in all competitions scoring 20 goals. Then, he signed with Olympiakos F.C. and he played only in friendly games. On August 2014 he was released from Olympiakos F.C..
