Technicolor India Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian animation studio and video game developer based in Bangalore, India, and a subsidiary of Technicolor SA.

The company was founded as Paprikaas Animation Studio Pvt. Ltd. on 31 August 2001, and changed its name to Paprikaas Entertainment Labs Pvt. Ltd. on 21 June 2005, and to Paprikaas Interactive Services Pvt. Ltd. on 29 December 2006. On 13 February 2007, Thomson Multimedia's Technicolor Content Services announced that it had invested in Paprikaas Interactive to expand its entertainment services capabilities.[1] On 20 December 2007, Technicolor partnered with DreamWorks Animation to assist "in the recruitment, training and development of top-tier animation talent".[2]

On 26 January 2010, Technicolor raised its ownership in Paprikaas Interactive to 100%, making it the studio's sole owner.[3] Following the acquisiton, Technicolor's Indian offices from Delhi were merged into Paprikaas Interactive, and the studio was rebranded Technicolor India Pvt. Ltd. on 14 May 2010.[4] On 4 October 2012, Technicolor announced that a game development unit from Technicolor India, the Rockstar Dedicated United (RDU) would be spun off to exclusively work with Rockstar Games.[5] On 1 March 2016, Rockstar Games opened Rockstar India, a new studio to work in conjunction with the Rockstar Dedicated Unit, which was announced on 10 August 2016.[6]
