Vidauntae "Taco" Charlton (born November 7, 1994) is an American football defensive end for the Michigan Wolverines.

Early years

Charlton attended Pickerington High School Central in Pickerington, Ohio.[1] As a senior he had 116 tackles and 19 sacks. He committed to the University of Michigan to play college football.[2] Charlton also played basketball in high school.[3]

College career

Charlton appeared in 10 games as a backup defensive end his freshman year at Michigan in 2013. As a sophomore in 2014, he appeared in 12 games with one start and had 19 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He appeared in 13 games with three starts his junior year in 2015 and recorded 30 tackles and 5.5 sacks.[4][5] Charlton became a starter his senior year in 2016.[6][7]

During the 2016 season, Charlton recorded 38 tackles, including 11 tackles-for-loss, and led the team with 8.5 sacks. Following the 2016 season, Charlton was named to the All-Big Ten defensive first-team, by both the coaches and media.[8][9]
