SBS Swiss Business School is a private business school located in Zurich.[2]

History

SBS Swiss Business School was founded in 1998.[3] SBS Swiss Business School was founded as a private[4] institution dedicated to foster academic excellence and student achievement on the graduate and undergraduate level in business and management. Its mission therefore is to provide students with a strong academic foundation with access to various specialized knowledge bases and prepare them to become competent professionals, and responsible citizens in a global arena. It defines higher education from its beginning as the experience of thinking internationally. To do this it maintains a multi-cultural student body on its home campus along with its international centers.[5]

Academic Programs

SBS Swiss Business School offers a variety of programs. All academic programs are taught in English. SBS delivers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs such as Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees.

Undergraduate and graduate programs are proposed in several disciplines, including Business administration, E-Commerce and Science.

An Executive MBA, an Online MBA and a Doctorate Program in Business Administration are also available.[6][7][8][9]

Accreditation Status

SBS Swiss Business School programs are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)[10] and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE),[11] both US-wide accreditation body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). SBS Swiss Business School is certified by the Swiss Quality Certificate for Adult Education Institutions (eduQua).[12]

As of 1 January 2015 Swiss university accreditation landscape is undergoing significant change.[13]"The Swiss Agency of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (AAQ) replaced the Swiss Center of Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (OAQ) as of 1 January 2015." [13] Universities in Switzerland are no longer accredited by the now defunct Swiss OAQ. "all educational institutions that use the designation “university”, “university of applied sciences” or “university of teacher education” are now legally bound to undergo an institutional evaluation." [13] This includes both "private" and "state universities".
