Location and history

Sucré is located on Magazine Street in the Garden District in New Orleans. Sucré (French for sugared[2])is owned by New Orleans restaurateur, and former Emeril Lagasse sous chef, Joel Dondis. Dondis partnered with pastry chef Tariq Hanna to open the boutique.[3]

Sucré serves plated desserts with custom garnishes in addition to confections such as flavored marshmallows, artisan chocolate bars, candied pecans, drinking chocolates, as well as hand spun gelato and sundaes.[4] They now operate in three retail locations in the French Quarter of New Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana, and ship the majority of their products anywhere, USA via their website.

Scoupé

A Scoop with an Accent

A Scoupé is a family of several flavors and personalities. These characters are translated into gelato creations, with layers of gelato, toppings and sauces served in a cup or a laydown (a cone laying down).

Twenty-four initial flavors will be announced for the product launch on May 14, 2016 in Sucré stores.
