Stormcast is an melodic black metal band formed in Nicosia, Cyprus in 2007.

History

The band was formed in 2007 in Nicosia, influenced by "the status of society and people's own personal struggle". Following a 4-track promo in 2009 and a 3-track promo in 2012, the band has extensive live experience, having performed at MetalDays Festival and having supported acts such as Rotting Christ, Sabaton, Stratovarius and Nightstalker among others.

The band's debut album, Frame of Mind, was released worldwide on December 8th, 2014 through Pitch Black Records.

Music style

In the band's own words, their music is "blending touches of symphonic metal as well as gothic and melodic death metal and a subtle dose of doom". They described themselves as "atmospheric black metal".
