Aeropyrum coil-shaped virus

Spiraviridae is a family of single stranded DNA viruses that infect archeae.[1]

This family was described in 2012.

The species in this family have a positive sense single stranded DNA genome. The viron capsid is non enveloped and cylindrical. It composed of a coiling fiber which in turn consists of two intertwining halves of a single circular nucleoprotein.
